wash, drive, upgrades!

Today's weather was absolutely beautiful. I decided to take my baby out for a wash and a drive. I took her down 280 and down Black Canyon Road. I then took 92 towards Half Moon Bay. I then turned around and took her down Cañada Road and back, up 280 and back home. Here are some of the pics I took:

This week I bought a bunch more car parts. Included are 3.73 gears and several ignition system upgrades. I plan on getting the gears installed some time during the week of the 20th. Those should really wake my car up :)

goodies!

I now have a pile of goodies waiting to install on my car:
BBK Off-Road H-Pipe
Eibach Pro-Kit 1.5" Lowering springs
Tokico Illumina 5-way adjustable shocks
Energy Suspension polyurethane transmission mount
Energy Suspension polyurethane front and rear spring isolators
Maximum Motorsports fully adjustable caster/camber plates

Most of which I will be installing Friday - Sunday, focusing on the suspension. The H-pipe will have to wait until I have time to get help with the welding. The transmission mount will be installed at that time, since I will have to lower the crossmember to R/R the H-pipe anyways.

FINALLY!

I finally scraped enough cash together to get my hood and bumper to the paint shop.

All that needs to be done now is have the entire car detailed/have dings filled/dents pulled.

Today I ordered new brake rotors all around, and within 2 weeks my heater/AC should be working again.

It's gonna be nice having everything working again and looking brand new.

car update

Some progress on my car:
New headlights are in, new clear corners are in... Pics of the corners will be up later on...

Yesterday, I took my car to get smogged... Turns out I had to go to a station with "Enhanced Test" capabity... whatever, so I did that today. I passed with flying colors! Car is now registered and ready to reek havoc for another year.

So, a few minutes ago, I went ahead and took the liberty to bump my timing up to 14 degrees before top dead center; stock is 10 degrees, as was required per smog test. Boy, those 4 degrees of advance makes a very noticeable difference. It doesnt bog at all when you launch from low RPMs.
