What an attacker could do
A Hugging Face models listing endpoint can reveal private or fine-tuned model names, versions, and metadata, exposing proprietary model inventory and aiding targeted attacks on specific models.
How to defend it
Require authenticated API tokens with scoped permissions to list models, and filter responses so private model metadata is never returned to unauthenticated callers.
