Day Job: Security Engineering at Apple
Hey there! I'm Mark, and I've spent the last 25 years turning caffeine into code and making computers do cool stuff. Currently, I'm a Senior Software Engineer at Apple, where I build security microservices and automation tools. But the real fun happens in my home lab.
Home Lab: Robotics, LED Art, and Raspberry Pi Cluster
My garage workshop is part mad scientist laboratory, part robotics playground. I've got 6-wheeled mecanum robots roaming around with AI-powered object detection, a 324 LED matrix running fractals at 50+ FPS, and enough Raspberry Pis to start my own compute cluster. When I'm not wrangling hardware, I'm fully embracing the new wave of AI coding tools - they're like having a really smart pair-programming buddy who never gets tired.
Enterprise Security Meets Creative Tech
I love bridging the gap between enterprise security (the day job) and creative technology (the fun stuff). Whether it's building dual-camera UFO tracking systems, creating audio synthesis algorithms, or developing location-aware AI chatbots, I'm always tinkering with something that probably shouldn't work but somehow does.
Off the Keyboard: Guitar, CTFs, and Family
When I'm not elbow-deep in code or soldering circuits, you'll find me playing guitar (20+ years and counting), competing in CTF competitions, or trying to explain to my family why the house needs "just one more" Raspberry Pi project. I'm a hacker at heart, but the good kind - the type who builds things that make people's lives better or at least more interesting.
