What an attacker could do
An unprotected Azure Functions trigger can be invoked by anyone, allowing abuse of the function's logic and its managed identity to access connected storage, queues, or databases.
How to defend it
Require function-level or AAD authentication, store the function key securely, and scope the function's managed identity to the minimum needed resources.
