The status endpoint reveals the exact Kibana and plugin versions, letting an attacker fingerprint the stack and target known Kibana RCE and prototype-pollution vulnerabilities.
How to defend it
Require authentication on Kibana, restrict it to internal access behind a proxy, and keep both Kibana and Elasticsearch on patched versions.
