Security Researcher Detected: You might have ended up here because your site vulnerability scanner found something interesting. Hi! I'm a security engineer and I'm having a good time interacting with the people and bots that are interested in information security.

You will hopefully find this site is well-secured and I'm not interested in being hacked. I'm interested in learning about how people try to hack me, though.

Common alias path for phpMyAdmin database administration

What an attacker could do

This common phpMyAdmin alias gives the same database takeover as the canonical path - full SQL access to MySQL/MariaDB, credential brute-forcing, and potential file writes leading to remote code execution.

How to defend it

Remove unused phpMyAdmin aliases, bind admin tooling to internal networks only, enforce strong authentication and IP restrictions, and return a clean 404 for these paths on production.
